Brant County OPP Charge Driver Following Impaired Driving Incident on Highway 24

Brant County OPP have charged a 39-year-old man following an impaired driving investigation on Highway 24 South.

On March 1, 2025, officers responded to a 911 call reporting a vehicle swerving on Highway 24 South before it left the roadway and struck a snowbank.

Police say officers located the vehicle and the driver, who showed signs of impairment. Following an investigation, the driver was charged with Operation While Impaired – Alcohol, Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus, Dangerous Operation, Operate a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance, and Fail to Apply for Permit on Becoming Owner.

The vehicle was towed from the scene, and the driver was released from custody with a scheduled court appearance.
