Ontario Premier Doug Ford extended warm wishes to residents across the province today, delivering a heartfelt message to mark Christmas Day.

“Today, Christians in Ontario and around the world pause to celebrate the birth of Jesus and reflect on the season’s message of peace, love and joy,” Ford said in his statement.

The Premier encouraged Ontarians to take time during the holiday season to reflect on the past year, express gratitude, and appreciate the people who enrich their lives.

“This is also a time for everyone in Ontario to reflect on the past year, appreciate the blessings in our lives and cherish the people who make them so special,” he said. “As you spend time with loved ones this holiday season, it’s an opportunity to embrace the spirit of kindness and care, especially for those in need.”

Ford also acknowledged the dedication of first responders and essential workers who spend the holidays serving their communities.

“I would also like to thank all those who are working today to ensure the health, safety and comfort of their fellow Ontarians, including our first responders who go above and beyond to protect and serve our communities. We are grateful for your commitment and sacrifice, today and every day.”

Concluding his message, Ford offered holiday greetings on behalf of his family.

“On behalf of myself, Karla and our family, I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a safe, happy holiday!”

As celebrations unfold across the province, Ford’s words highlighted the importance of community, gratitude, and compassion during the holiday season.
