The Glenhyrst Art Gallery has become a hub of creativity and inspiration as it proudly hosts the much-anticipated 2024 Vibrant Palette School Art Exhibition, showcasing 418 works of art by students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Running from November 29th to December 22nd, the annual exhibition highlights the artistic talent of students from 6 high schools and 13 elementary schools in the region.
This year’s theme is all about celebrating young artists’ unique perspectives and fostering a sense of community through creativity. Visitors will find a wide array of works, from colorful paintings and intricate drawings to three-dimensional sculptures that capture the boundless imagination of children and youth.
“We hope to inspire and mentor the next generation of artists while offering them a welcoming space to explore and share their creativity,” said a Glenhyrst spokesperson. “This exhibition is about more than just art; it’s about encouraging students to see the world in new and innovative ways.”
Extended Viewing Hours
To ensure everyone has a chance to experience the magic, Glenhyrst has extended its hours during select evenings. The gallery will be open from 6–8 PM on:
- Tuesdays: December 3rd, 10th, and 17th
- Wednesday: December 4th
- Fridays: December 6th, 13th, and 20th
While parking is limited during these evening viewings, the added hours offer an enchanting opportunity for families and community members to enjoy the exhibition under the soft glow of the gallery lights.
