The City of Brantford is recognizing Millards Chartered Professional Accountants for receiving the 2024 Sponsor of the Year Award at the Festivals and Events Ontario (FEO) SYNERGY Conference, held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.
The honour comes after the City’s special events staff nominated Millards for their ongoing support of Scare in the Square, an annual Halloween-themed event held each October in Harmony Square and Mohawk Park.
Brantford Mayor Kevin Davis congratulated Millards on the award, highlighting the company’s important role in helping the City deliver successful community events year after year.
“Their dedication and support have been instrumental in the success of Brantford events, fostering a strong sense of community and connection,” said Davis.
“Local businesses like Millards are vital partners in bringing these events to life, and we deeply appreciate their ongoing commitment to creating vibrant and memorable experiences for both residents and visitors.”
Millards has been a part of Brantford’s business community since 1920 and has supported Scare in the Square every year since 2008.
Over the years, the firm has contributed approximately $250,000 to various City of Brantford special events. In 2023, Millards also donated $5,000 to help purchase a new inflatable movie screen, now used at the City’s popular Movies in the Square outdoor film series.
