The County of Brant and the Brant Community Foundation have announced the opening of applications for the 2025 County of Brant Community Grants program.

“The County of Brant Community Grants program provides essential funding to programs and organizations across the County. The Brant Community Foundation is pleased to be working with the County of Brant to adjudicate and award important financial grants,” said Anne Marie Peirce, Executive Director for the Brant Community Foundation.

For many years, the County of Brant has awarded Community Grants, initially as part of the municipal budget process and later through the Community Grants Committee, which created a distinction between budget allocation and the awarding of grants.

This year marks the second time the Brant Community Foundation is involved in the process.

“The Brant Community Foundation’s members have years of experience in reviewing and awarding grants, applying their familiarity with the various community groups and a knowledge of the community’s priorities and issues,” said County of Brant Mayor David Bailey. “We believe this will be a great partnership for our Community Grants program and allow us to offer grants to our groups that need it the most.”

Community Grant Awards are one-time funding allocations for the applicable budget year.

Applications will be accepted for the following categories:

  • Operating Grants (maximum $5,000)
  • Event Grants (maximum $5,000)
  • Capital Project Grants (maximum $10,000)

Applications must be submitted by email to grants@brantcf.ca by February 28, 2025, at 5:00 p.m.. Guidelines and application details are available on the Grant Program website.

The Brant Community Foundation, a registered charitable public foundation, supports community development by providing grants, flexible donor services, and leadership in addressing local needs. Established in 1997, the foundation is a member of the Community Foundations of Canada network and has experienced significant growth in endowed funds.

Currently managing over $27 million in endowed assets, the foundation has distributed $8.5 million in grants since it began awarding funds in 2001.
