
Five members of Brant-Brantford Paramedic Services were recognized for their exemplary contributions to emergency medical care during this week’s Paramedic Services Committee meeting at the County of Brant Council Chambers.
County of Brant Mayor David Bailey, City of Brantford Councillor Greg Martin, and County of Brant Emergency and Protective Services General Manager Cindy Stevenson presented certificates to the recipients, who were awarded the Governor General’s Emergency Medical Service Exemplary Service Medal.
The medal recognizes exceptional dedication, commitment, and achievement in the field of emergency medical services.
David Dungey, Paramedic Superintendent, was honored for 40 years of service, while Russell King, Chief of Brant-Brantford Paramedic Services, and Michael Polgar, Paramedic Superintendent, were each recognized for 30 years.
Two additional recipients, Neil Vanderpost, Deputy Chief of Operations and Logistics, and Vito Tuori, Paramedic Superintendent, were also awarded for 30 years of service but were unable to attend the ceremony.
Mayor Bailey praised the honorees, highlighting their decades of unwavering service and the essential role they play in safeguarding the community’s health and safety. The event underscored the profound impact of their careers and celebrated their commitment to excellence in emergency medical care.
