Brantford is set to host Rosie’s Roadshow Leadership Labs on January 22, 2025, a transformative event focused on leadership, aging, and workplace innovation.

The event, co-hosted by Cassandra Angus, Founder and CEO of Home Transition Specialists Inc., will bring together community leaders, changemakers, and professionals to explore how organizations can adapt to an aging workforce and build more inclusive, connected workplaces.

For Cassandra, choosing Brantford as the venue for this impactful event was no coincidence.

“Brantford just feels right for this Leadership Lab, just as it has for my business, Home Transition Specialists Inc.,” said Cassandra Angus. “The city is officially recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) as an Age-Friendly Community, which demonstrates its commitment to supporting social participation, civic pride, and overall well-being.”

Cassandra first encountered Rosie’s Roadshow after attending an event in Oakville, where she was captivated by the meaningful conversations and connections she made.

“I left inspired and knew I wanted to help bring this experience to Brantford—a city rich in history and forward-thinking values,” she added.

At the heart of Cassandra’s work with Home Transition Specialists Inc. is a vision of empowerment, growth, and connection. Her organization focuses on supporting older adults, seniors, and caregivers through compassionate services, education, and resources to ensure aging is met with dignity and independence.

“Rosie’s Roadshow aligns perfectly with our mission,” Cassandra said. “The event’s focus on inclusivity and leadership mirrors our dedication to fostering strong relationships and providing people with the tools to make informed, proactive decisions about their futures.”

Through interactive workshops and collaborative discussions, the Leadership Lab will tackle critical topics such as aging in the workplace, intergenerational dynamics, and workplace adaptability. It will also explore practical strategies to address challenges posed by longer careers, caregiving responsibilities, and shifting workforce demographics.

Cassandra emphasized that the event isn’t just about identifying challenges—it’s about transforming them into opportunities.

“By 2030, more than 25% of the workforce will be over the age of 55, and the caregiver ratio will drop from 7:1 to 4:1,” she explained. “This means growing pressures on employees who are balancing careers, caregiving, and family life. Events like Rosie’s Roadshow equip leaders with tools to not only manage these changes but to thrive in them.”

The Leadership Lab’s interactive workshops will allow participants to share ideas, develop actionable insights, and build valuable connections.

“People won’t just walk away with strategies—they’ll leave with new friends, business partners, and a renewed sense of purpose,” Cassandra said.

A defining principle of Rosie’s Roadshow is knowledge equity—ensuring that everyone’s voice and experience is valued, regardless of age or role.

Cassandra highlighted the expertise of Rosie’s Roadshow Co-CEOs, Amy Altwerger and Zoe Share, who bring a wealth of experience in human resources, leadership development, and community building. Combined with Cassandra’s own expertise in home transitions and aging solutions, the team is committed to making complex topics like aging and caregiving accessible and engaging.

“We’re breaking down barriers and starting conversations that are too often avoided,” Cassandra said. “Knowledge equity means empowering people through information and shared experiences, so no one feels left out of the process.”

Looking ahead, Cassandra hopes the Leadership Lab will leave a lasting impact not only on attendees but also on the broader Brantford community.

“This event is just the beginning,” she said. “We want to create a ripple effect—sparking innovation, strengthening connections, and inspiring action. Whether you’re a business leader, caregiver, or community advocate, there’s something here for everyone.”

For Cassandra and her team, the message is clear: collaboration is the key to meaningful change.

“Leadership is all about connection,” she said. “We’re inviting the Brantford community to join us, share ideas, and help build a future where inclusivity, innovation, and compassion guide the way.”

Rosie’s Roadshow Leadership Labs – Brantford Edition will take place on January 22, 2025, at 6:00 PM, at 111 Sherwood Dr, Unit #27, Brantford.
