Police Investigating Vehicle Break-Ins and Fraudulent Transactions

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Brantford Police Service are investigating a string of vehicle break-ins and subsequent credit card fraud incidents that occurred in Brant County and Brantford on January 6, 2025. The incidents involved stolen wallets used to make fraudulent transactions at various locations.

Authorities have released details about a male suspect captured in surveillance photos wearing a variety of outfits during the crimes.

The suspect was seen driving a black Ford SUV with black rims, bearing the Ontario license plate DDXP087. The vehicle had been reported stolen on January 3, 2025.

Police are urging anyone who recognizes the suspect, the vehicle, or has information related to these incidents to come forward. Tips can be directed to the Brant OPP at 519-442-2242 or submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Authorities are reminding residents to remain vigilant, secure their vehicles, and report any suspicious activity to local law enforcement.
