Nearly 1,000 residents participated in the initial phase of Brantford’s 2050 Vision engagement campaign, providing valuable feedback to help shape the city’s long-term future. Now, the City is inviting the community to take part in a follow-up survey to refine this vision further.

Launched this summer in partnership with Wilfrid Laurier University, the “Brantford 2050: Mapping Our Path Forward Together” initiative marks an ambitious effort to collaboratively create a new vision that will guide Brantford’s planning and priorities for decades.

The follow-up survey is open to all residents and business owners and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. It invites participants to share their views on critical topics, including business and industry development, climate and sustainability, fostering a welcoming and diverse community, transit and infrastructure improvements, tourism, sport and culture, and supporting vulnerable populations.

Mayor Kevin Davis encouraged widespread participation, emphasizing the importance of collective input. “I encourage everyone to participate in this campaign and share their ideas on how we can build a stronger, more vibrant, and inclusive Brantford for all of our citizens,” Davis said. “By working together and gathering diverse input from our community, we can create a vision for 2050 that reflects our community’s collective vision for the future of our city.”
