The Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say a suspect has been identified following a public appeal related to multiple thefts at the LCBO in Paris.

In an update issued by police, the Brant County OPP thanked residents for their assistance, noting that members of the public helped investigators identify the individual connected to the incidents.

“Brant County OPP would like to thank the many citizens from Brant County that assisted in the identification of the suspect regarding this incident,” police said in a statement.

Authorities also asked residents to refrain from contacting Crime Stoppers or the Brant County OPP regarding the matter, indicating that the information required by investigators has already been received.

The investigation relates to a series of thefts at the LCBO located on Mechanic Street in Paris, which occurred between September 2025 and February 2026 at various times throughout the day.

At the time of the incidents, the suspect was described as wearing a maroon long-sleeve shirt with white lettering including the partially visible words “CALIFORNIA” and “ANGELS EST. 19–,” along with a blue padded vest.

He was also described as having light brown curly or wavy hair and a short beard or unshaven appearance.

Police confirmed the investigation remains ongoing, though they say the public’s assistance played a key role in helping move the case forward.
