The City of Brantford is seeking public input on the design of a new park and playground planned for 77 Stauffer Rd., within the Nature’s Grand LIV Communities development off Hardy Road.

Residents are invited to review two proposed playground layouts and complete an online survey through the city’s engagement platform, LetsTalkBrantford.ca, until March 8.

The project is intended to serve families in the growing southwest Brantford neighbourhood, with an emphasis on accessibility and multi-generational use.

“The park is being designed with the community in mind,” said Summer Scott, the city’s co-ordinator of parks design and development.

“We look forward to building a park and playground that is informed by its residents and supports play, accessibility, and connection for people of all ages.”

Both design options include different configurations of play equipment and spatial layouts.

The broader park plan also includes a three-bay swing set with inclusive and toddler seating, paved accessible pathways with an extended walking loop, seating areas, bicycle parking, tree planting and a shade structure.

Residents can participate in the consultation and vote for their preferred design at LetsTalkBrantford.ca/77staufferroad.

The city says results will be shared with registered users of the Let’s Talk Brantford platform and through its official social media channels following the close of the survey.
