Driver Charged with Impaired Driving After Highway 403 Collision in Brant County

A 20-year-old driver from Mississauga has been charged with impaired driving following a single-vehicle collision on Highway 403 in the County of Brant.

According to the Ontario Provincial Police, officers responded to a report of a crash on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at approximately 9:18 p.m. The collision occurred on Highway 403 West, east of Muir Road.

Police say an investigation at the scene led to the driver being charged under the Criminal Code with operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs, and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit.

No serious injuries were reported.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on February 27, 2026.

In a statement, the OPP reiterated its commitment to road safety through enforcement and public education, noting that impaired driving remains one of the leading causes of serious collisions and fatalities on Ontario roads.

Police are reminding members of the public to call 9-1-1 if they suspect a driver is impaired, stressing that timely reporting can help prevent serious incidents.
