All schools, administrative buildings and childcare facilities across the Grand Erie District School Board (GEDSB) and the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board (BHNCDSB) will be closed on Monday, January 26, due to significant snowfall across the region.
GEDSB officials confirmed the closure applies to all zones.
For secondary students, final evaluations originally scheduled for Monday will be rescheduled to Tuesday, while evaluations scheduled for Tuesday will move to Wednesday.
The BHNCDSB also announced that all transportation is cancelled and all schools and board buildings are closed to both students and staff.
In addition, school rentals, childcare programs, after-school activities and night school classes are cancelled for the day.
With schools closed, all secondary school exams scheduled for Monday, January 26, under the Catholic board will now take place on Tuesday, January 27.
The remainder of the exam schedule will be pushed back by one day.
Families are encouraged to monitor board communications for further updates as weather conditions continue to be assessed.
