Brant County OPP Charge Driver With Impaired Driving After Single-Vehicle Collision

Single-vehicle crash reported Monday evening on Bethel Road, east of Bishopsgate Road.

Brant County OPP have charged a driver with impaired driving offences following a single-vehicle collision Monday evening.

Police say officers were called at approximately 7:06 p.m. on January 19, 2026, to Bethel Road, east of Bishopsgate Road.

As a result of the investigation, a 47-year-old driver was charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs, and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on February 5, 2026.

The OPP say impaired driving remains a leading cause of serious collisions and fatalities on Ontario roads and continue to urge the public to report suspected impaired drivers by calling 9-1-1.
