The Brantford Bulldogs defeated the Niagara IceDogs 4–2 on Wednesday night at the TD Civic Centre in Ontario Hockey League regular-season action.
After a scoreless first period for the home side, Brantford scored twice in the second period through Dylan Tsherna and Vladimir Dravecky to take a 2–1 lead.
Niagara opened the scoring on a first-period power-play goal by Jakub Chromiak and later added a third-period goal from Riley Patterson.
Adam Benák extended Brantford’s lead early in the third period with a power-play goal, before Cooper Dennis sealed the result with an empty-net goal at 18:32.
Brantford goaltender David Egorov stopped 12 of 14 shots in the win, while Niagara’s Vladislav Yermolenko made 37 saves in the loss.
The Bulldogs finished the game 1-for-3 on the power play, while the IceDogs were 1-for-1 with the man advantage.
Attendance at the TD Civic Centre was listed at 3,205, with Benák and Dravecky named the first and second stars of the game.
Brantford improves to 26-7-4-1 on the season and will visit the London Knights on Friday, January 9, at 7 p.m.
