The Brantford Bulldogs delivered another emphatic performance Saturday afternoon, rolling past the North Bay Battalion 7–2 at TD Civic Centre and extending their lead in the OHL’s East Division standings.
Jett Luchanko, Adam Benak and Vladimir Dravecky each earned star-of-the-game honours in a matchup dominated early by Brantford’s pace and offensive depth.
The Bulldogs struck three times in the opening period and added four more in the second, overwhelming a North Bay side that never found rhythm despite outshooting Brantford 35–23.
Luchanko opened the scoring at 6:10 of the first, finishing a play with Cooper Dennis and Benak.
Brantford continued pressing, and at 13:30 Dravecky converted off a setup from Caleb Malhotra and Luca Testa.
Zackary Sandhu added the third at 17:10, assisted by Ben Danford and Malhotra, giving the Bulldogs a 3–0 lead through 20 minutes.
North Bay responded briefly in the second with goals from Ethan Procyszyn (6:30) and Nolan Laird (15:30). But by then, Brantford had already blown the game open, Luchanko scored on a penalty shot at 2:32, Benak added one at 5:52, Dennis connected at 7:07, and Adam Jiricek made it 7–1 at 11:35 before the Battalion’s late reply.
Brantford finished with 18 points, seven goals and eleven assists, spread across the lineup.
Ryerson Leenders turned aside 35 shots for the win. North Bay’s Mike McIvor allowed six goals on 19 shots through 40 minutes before Jack Lisson closed out the third.
Neither club managed a power-play goal; North Bay went 0-for-5 and Brantford 0-for-2. Penalties were frequent, Brantford took eight minors, North Bay five.
The victory moves Brantford to 21-2-4-1 (47 points), first in the East and on a 7-2-1-0 run over their past ten. Attendance was 3,207.
Brantford resumes play Thursday, December 11 at 7 p.m., travelling to Erie to face the Otters.
