Brantford Police have charged two youths following a disturbance downtown on Tuesday night that involved a replica firearm.
Police received multiple calls at approximately 9:10 p.m. on December 2 reporting that several youths were antagonizing an adult man near Dalhousie Street and Queen Street.
According to investigators, one of the youths threw ice and snowballs at the man before allegedly pointing a firearm at him.
The individuals involved then entered the lobby of a Water Street building, where they reportedly caused a disturbance.
Officers located the suspects a short time later at a plaza on Market Street South. A replica firearm was seized at the scene.
The victim did not report physical injuries.
Police determined that one of the accused, a 13-year-old boy, was breaching the conditions of an Undertaking.
A second youth, a 15-year-old boy, was found to be violating a court order and a judicial release order.
Both youths were taken into custody. Police say the 15-year-old from Brantford was held for a bail hearing and faces six charges, including carrying a concealed weapon, assault with a weapon, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, disobeying a court order, and failing to comply with a judicial release.
The 13-year-old, also from Brantford, is charged with one count of Failure to Comply with Undertaking.
