The Brantford Bulldogs strengthened their hold on top spot in the OHL’s Eastern Conference with a decisive 7–2 win over the Sarnia Sting on Friday night at the TD Civic Centre.
The victory pushes Brantford to an 18-0-4-1 record and extends their unbeaten streak in regulation.
Brantford set the tone early, striking three times in the opening period with goals from Luca Testa, Dylan Tsherna and Adam Benak.
The Bulldogs’ depth continued to drive play in the second, where Cooper Dennis added one and Caleb Malhotra scored twice, his second coming on the power play. Benak closed out the scoring for Brantford with his second of the game at 5:54 of the third.
Sarnia replied with goals from Brenner Lammens and Liam Beamish, the latter on a power play midway through the final frame. Bulldogs goaltender David Egorov turned aside 31 shots for the win.
With 119 goals through 23 games and a power-play operating at over 40%, Brantford enters the upcoming week with strong momentum.
The Bulldogs now turn their attention to their next matchup: a road game on Thursday, November 27, against the Brampton Steelheads, who sit eighth in the Eastern Conference and are looking to climb back into playoff position.
The meeting marks another divisional test for Brantford as they aim to extend their dominant start to the season.
