Brantford Police Seek Public’s Help to Identify Arson Suspect

Early-morning blaze on Darling Street ruled arson; investigators seek to identify suspect caught on camera

The Brantford Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect after an early-morning house fire on Monday was deemed arson.

Police say that at approximately 4:00 a.m. on November 17, officers responded after Brantford Fire reported an active fire at a home on Darling Street near Drummond Street.

When officers arrived, three young males who had been inside the residence were already safely outside. 

They escaped the home and called 911 after noticing the fire.

Following an investigation, police determined the fire originated in the basement and have classified the incident as suspicious.

The Brantford Police Service is now treating the case as arson.

Investigators have obtained CCTV images of the suspect and are releasing them to the public in hopes of generating tips.

Police describe the suspect as white, with dark shoulder-length hair, wearing glasses, a black jacket with a fur-lined hood, checkered pajama pants, a winter hat, and dark shoes.
