As part of its annual budget process, the County of Brant is reviewing its Long-Term Financial Plan — a key framework guiding how local tax dollars are managed, invested, and planned for responsibly.
Residents are being invited to share their input to help shape the County’s 2026 Budget.
“The Long-Term Financial Plan is an important roadmap that helps ensure we continue to deliver high-quality services while investing in our future,” said Mayor David Bailey.
“By keeping the plan current and involving residents in the process, we can make decisions that benefit and reflect our entire County.”
The yearly review updates financial projections to reflect population growth, inflation trends, and new community priorities.
It also provides Council with the opportunity to reassess project timelines, confirm strategic priorities, and evaluate potential new initiatives.
Community members can share their feedback through the County’s online engagement platform at EngageBrant.ca/2026Budget, or by completing the 2026 Budget Survey in one of several ways:
• Online: EngageBrant.ca/2026Budget
• In person: County of Brant Customer Service Offices in Burford (126 Park Avenue) and Paris (66 Grand River Street North)
• By phone: 519.44BRANT (442.7268) or toll-free 1.855.44BRANT
The survey closes Monday, November 24 at 4:30 p.m.
Once results are compiled, a public summary of community feedback will be released.
“We encourage residents to get involved and learn more about the budget process,” said Heather Boyd, General Manager of Corporate Services.
“Your input helps guide how we invest in services and infrastructure that matter most to our community.”
A special Council meeting will be held on December 4, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. to present the Annual Review of the Long-Term Financial Plan and share public input.
The meeting will take place at Council Chambers, 7 Broadway Street West, Paris, and will be open to the public.
It will also be streamed live and available for viewing afterward at brant.ca/Live.
Residents can stay informed by subscribing for project updates at EngageBrant.ca/2026Budget or by visiting brant.ca/Budget for more details on County finances and the budget process.
