With colder days approaching, local residents are once again rallying to help neighbours in need.

The third annual “Out of the Cold” Winter Clothing Drive will take place on Thursday, November 6, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Kate Broddick Team Offices, located at 265 King George Road, Unit 115 in the Food Basics Plaza.

The initiative, organized by The Kate Broddick Team in collaboration with The Benson Crew Real Estate Team, aims to collect warm winter essentials for individuals and families struggling to stay warm through the winter months.

“This drive reminds us how powerful community kindness can be,” organizers said in a statement.

“Every coat, every pair of mitts, and every warm gesture makes a difference.”

Donations of new or gently used winter items are being accepted, including:

• Coats

• Mitts and gloves

• Hats and toques

• Boots

• New socks and new underwear

For those unable to attend the November 6 event, donations can be dropped off during regular business hours at The Kate Broddick Team Offices in the Food Basics Plaza.

Community members who wish to arrange a pickup can contact Joshua Wall at 519.865.6393 or by email at joshuaw@bensoncrew.ca

Now in its third year, the Out of the Cold initiative has become a local example of how small acts of generosity can have a lasting impact.

Organizers say the annual effort continues to grow thanks to the compassion of Brantford residents committed to keeping everyone warm this winter.
