Driver Charged After Traffic Stop in Brant County

Ontario Provincial Police have charged two Brantford residents following a traffic stop on Cockshutt Road North on October 17, 2025.

According to Brant County OPP, officers stopped the vehicle at approximately 4:24 p.m. 

During the investigation, police determined that the driver was operating the vehicle while under suspension and without valid insurance.

A 30-year-old man from Brantford now faces charges of driving while under suspension and failing to surrender a vehicle permit.

Police also charged the vehicle’s owner, a 26-year-old Brantford woman, with permitting the operation of a motor vehicle without insurance.

In a statement, the OPP reminded motorists to ensure they are properly licensed and that their vehicles are insured before getting behind the wheel.
