The Brantford Police Service is investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred on Friday, August 1, 2025, at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Phelps Road between Mount Pleasant Road and Cockshutt Road.
Police report that two vehicles, an SUV and a sedan, were involved in the collision, which caused significant damage to both vehicles. Upon arrival, officers located two occupants of the sedan with vital signs absent.
Despite lifesaving efforts, a 19‑year‑old male and a 21‑year‑old male were pronounced deceased by paramedics at the scene.
Two adult occupants of the SUV were extricated from their vehicle with serious but non‑life‑threatening injuries.
They were transported to hospital for treatment.
The Brantford Police Service continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
