Air Transat has once again earned global recognition for its service excellence, being named the World’s Best Leisure Airline at the 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards. The Montreal-based carrier received the prestigious honour today during a ceremony held at the Paris Air Show, marking the seventh time overall—and third year in a row—that it has claimed the title.
Pamela Lloyd-Bergeron, Director of In-Flight Service at Air Transat, accepted the award on behalf of the airline alongside members of its flight crew.
“Receiving this award is an honour for everyone at Air Transat,” said Lloyd-Bergeron. “It reflects our dedication to delivering excellent service and memorable travel experiences for our passengers. Every day, our in-flight crews work passionately to create a warm atmosphere on board, where comfort, attentiveness and attention to detail make all the difference. This distinction is entirely theirs.”
Annick Guérard, President and CEO of Transat A.T. Inc., emphasized the role of the company’s frontline employees and customer-first culture.
“This recognition is a testament to the unwavering commitment of our teams to placing the client at the heart of every decision we make,” said Guérard. “It is thanks to their openness, genuine care, and desire to go above and beyond that we continue to stand out worldwide.”
Skytrax CEO Edward Plaisted praised the airline’s consistency in the leisure segment.
“Air Transat has established itself as a leader in the leisure travel segment,” said Plaisted. “Its consistent recognition in this category reflects high levels of passenger satisfaction and the airline’s ability to deliver a reliable and enjoyable experience tailored to leisure travellers.”
The World’s Best Leisure Airline Award is based on detailed global passenger feedback, measuring satisfaction with in-flight services, airport experience, comfort, and value for leisure travellers. Over 22.3 million eligible entries from more than 100 nationalities were submitted during the 2024–2025 survey period, with over 325 airlines evaluated.
Air Transat previously won the award in 2012, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2023, and 2024, and was also named North America’s Best Leisure Airline in 2022.
