Hamilton Police are continuing the search for 62-year-old John Edwards, who was last seen in Dundas on the morning of Tuesday, June 11.

Edwards was captured on surveillance footage at 9:57 a.m. walking westbound on Baldwin Street, shortly after leaving the McDonald’s at 10 Cootes Drive. Since then, there have been no confirmed sightings.

Police say the investigation has entered a new phase, shifting from extensive ground searches—previously coordinated from a command post in the Metro parking lot on Governors Road—to detailed analysis of hours of collected video footage.

Investigators have acknowledged the case has been complicated by the presence of another local man who closely resembles Edwards, leading to several false leads.

Edwards is described as a white male, approximately 5’11” and 214 pounds, with shoulder-length brown hair and light-coloured eyes. He was last seen wearing baggy shorts, a striped blue T-shirt, white socks, running shoes, and possibly a ball cap. He is known to walk with a slight shuffle and often carries a small, light-coloured ball in his hand.
