Brantford police have arrested a 25-year-old man from Toronto in connection with a violent robbery that occurred in the early morning hours of April 30, 2025.
Between 4:00 a.m. and 4:40 a.m., officers responded to reports of an assault and robbery in the area of King Street and Colborne Street.
According to police, two suspects approached a man, physically assaulted him, and stole cash. The victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment.
Following an investigation, one of the suspects was taken into custody on June 2. The accused, whose name has not been released, has been charged with robbery and aggravated assault.
Brantford police say the second suspect remains outstanding. A description has not been made available.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
