Three individuals have been arrested and charged after Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) recovered three stolen vehicles during a search at a rural property in Brant County.
The search was carried out on May 16, 2025, at a property on Colborne Street East by the Brant County OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with support from the Oxford CSCU, West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), and the Canine Unit.
The investigation was launched after police received a tip regarding the location of a recently stolen vehicle.
During the search, officers recovered three vehicles: a 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 (blue) valued at $20,000, a 2014 GMC Sierra (red) valued at $10,000, and a 2017 Chevrolet Express Van (grey) valued at $25,000. The total value of the recovered vehicles is estimated at $55,000.
Three people were arrested in connection with the investigation.
Brandon Ferreira, 38, of Brant County, is charged with three counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, two counts of failing to comply with a probation order, and one count of fraudulent concealment.
David Lorne, 41, of Cambridge, faces three counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, theft of a motor vehicle, disguise with intent, three counts of failing to comply with a release order, one count of failing to comply with a probation order, and one count of fraudulent concealment.
Samantha Smith, 37, of Brant County, is charged with three counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and one count of fraudulent concealment.
Ferreira and Lorne were held for a bail hearing. Smith was released on a Form 10, a legal document requiring her to appear in court at a later date.
