Brantford, ON – May 21, 2025 — The City of Brantford will mark Canada Day with a full day of live music, family entertainment, and community programming at Lions Park Steve Brown Sports Complex on Tuesday, July 1.
This year’s main stage lineup is headlined by Canadian rock band The Trews, with Suzie McNeil & The Chain Reaction performing ahead of the East Coast group. The concert, presented by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG), will conclude with a fireworks display at 10 p.m.
Live music kicks off at noon and features local and touring acts including Jocelyn June & The Bugs, The Dirt Road Travelers, Andrew Irving, Tonewheels, and Coty Robinson. Accessible seating will be available at the front of the stage.
New to this year’s celebration is the Tim Burr Circus Lumberjack Show, featuring juggling, chainsaws, and fire tricks. Performances are scheduled throughout the afternoon.
The Young Canadians Area, presented by Hickory Dickory Decks, will offer activities for children between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m., including pony rides, a magic and ventriloquism show, and appearances from Bob the Builder and PAW Patrol’s Rubble.
The KidZone Carnival and Midway, run by Albion Amusements, will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Ride-all-day wristbands can be purchased in advance for $35. A vendor marketplace and food area will operate during the same hours.
Brantford Transit will provide a free shuttle service to and from the event, with details available at Brantford.ca/CanadaDay. On-site parking is available for $10, with proceeds supporting the Rotary Club of Brantford-Sunrise. Brantford Lift users must pre-book by June 27 at 9:30 p.m.
The City is also recruiting volunteers for the event. Roles include event set-up, clean-up, and parking assistance. Applications are open until June 22.
