The Brantford Red Sox will launch their 2025 season this Sunday, May 11, with a home opener against the London Majors at Arnold Anderson Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., with gates opening at 12:30 p.m.

This year marks the beginning of what the team has dubbed the Reverse Tariffs Season, a tribute to community and cross-border friendship — and a bold gesture to fans: admission to all home games will be free.

Founded in 1911, the Red Sox are one of Canada’s most historic baseball franchises, with 15 Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) championships to their name. As the club enters its 114th season, team owner Terry Smith says the decision to waive ticket fees is about more than baseball.

“This Reverse Tariffs Season is very important to me,” said Smith. “We want to thank Brantford for 114 years of support, honour the city’s greatness, and show the mutual respect between Canadians and Americans. This season is a celebration of all of that.”

Sunday’s home opener promises a full day of baseball and community spirit. Fans can expect classic concession fare, a beer garden featuring local craft brews, and official team merchandise. The stadium will welcome returning favourites and new talent as the Red Sox begin another chapter in their storied history.

Admission is general seating and fans are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the pregame atmosphere and secure their spot.

The Red Sox are calling on fans across the region to fill the stands, celebrate local baseball tradition, and be part of a season dedicated to unity and appreciation.
