The Brantford Bulldogs dropped Game 3 of the OHL Eastern Conference semi-final on Tuesday night, falling 7-2 to the Oshawa Generals at the Tribute Communities Centre.
Missing key players Nick Lardis, Ryerson Leenders, and suspended defenceman Andrew Gibson, the Bulldogs were outpaced early, trailing 3-0 midway through the first.
Dylan Tsherna got Brantford on the board late in the opening frame, and captain Patrick Thomas added another in the second to make it 3-2.
But two Oshawa goals in quick succession restored their lead, including a power-play marker by Colby Barlow.
A shorthanded goal just 15 seconds into the third from Callum Ritchie dashed Brantford’s comeback hopes, and the Generals added one more for a commanding win.
Brantford still leads the series 2-1 and will look to bounce back in Game 4 on Thursday, April 17, in Oshawa. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m.
