A lockdown at Princess Elizabeth School and hold and secure measures at Bellview School and Madonna Della Libera have been lifted, Brantford Police confirmed Tuesday afternoon.
At approximately 2:00 p.m., police responded to a report of a man with a firearm in the area of Tecumseh Street and Salisbury Avenue.
Officers conducted a search of the area, including the use of drone technology.
As a precaution, nearby schools were placed in lockdown or hold and secure status during the investigation.
No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

Police say they will remain in the area as the investigation continues.
The Brantford Police Service thanked the public for their cooperation during the response.
