Brantford Police have launched a manhunt for 27-year-old Bradley George Saunders, wanted for Second Degree Murder following a fatal stabbing in the city’s downtown core.
At approximately 4:15 p.m. Thursday afternoon, officers responded to reports of a disturbance at a residence on Charlotte Street. Upon arrival, police located a male victim suffering from stab wounds. Despite emergency efforts, the victim succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
Investigators say the individuals involved were known to each other, and the incident is not believed to be random. A weapon has since been recovered, and one male has been arrested in connection with the case. That individual is facing charges of Accessory After the Fact to Murder, Weapons Dangerous, and Assault with a Weapon.
Bradley George Saunders is now the subject of an active police search. He is described as an Indigenous male, 6’2” tall, weighing approximately 155 lbs., with long dark hair. A description of his clothing or any associated vehicle has not been made available.
Authorities are urging the public not to approach Saunders, as he is considered Armed and Dangerous. If seen, citizens should immediately contact 911.
