Brantford Police responded to a report of possible gunfire near Brantwood Park Road around 4:00 p.m. this afternoon.
As a precaution, two nearby schools and a daycare were briefly placed in Hold and Secure while officers investigated the scene.
After a thorough assessment, police confirmed there was no threat to public safety.
In a statement, Brantford Police acknowledged the concern the incident may have caused and thanked residents, school staff, and families for their patience and understanding during the response.
No injuries were reported.
