The County of Brant has reported ongoing incidents of vandalism and theft at the Burford Community Centre and Burford Pioneer Cemetery. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) – West Region is investigating.
In a public statement, county officials described the incidents as disappointing and urged residents to report any suspicious activity.
“These acts of vandalism impact the entire community,” the county stated.
The County of Brant confirmed that the vandalism and theft have been reported to the Brant OPP, which is currently investigating. Authorities have not released specific details about the damage or thefts.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Brant OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
Officials are asking residents to be alert and report any unusual activity in the area. No additional security measures have been announced at this time.
