Brantford Police Investigating Suspicious Death at Colborne Street Motel

A 48-year-old Brantford man has been charged with first-degree murder following a suspicious death at a Colborne Street motel last week.

At approximately 11:00 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025, Brantford Police responded to a 911 call reporting an injured male at a motel near Colborne Street and Locks Road.

Upon arrival, officers located a 34-year-old man who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

On March 23, 2025, at approximately 3:00 a.m., investigators arrested a Brantford resident in connection with the incident.

The suspect has been charged with Murder – 1st Degree and was held for a bail hearing.

Police have confirmed that the investigation remains active and ongoing. As such, no further details, including the identity of the accused or the victim, are being released at this time.

Authorities do not believe the incident was random and have stated there is no known threat to public safety.
