The City of Brantford, alongside partner organizations and vendors, has rescheduled Brantford’s Winter Fun Fest to Saturday, March 22, 2025, citing forecasted heavy snow and high winds this weekend. Wilfrid Laurier University Brantford Campus has also moved its Purple and Gold Party at One Market to the same date.
The Brantford School of Instrumental Music has canceled the Brantford Memorial Concert Band performance, originally scheduled for Sunday, February 16, at the Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts. Organizers have confirmed the event will not be rescheduled.
Family Day activities on Monday, February 17, 2025, will proceed as planned. The Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre will host a public skate from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a public swim from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Admission for skating is $4.45 for ages 5 to 54, $4.10 for those 55 and over, and free for children under four. Regular rates apply for the swim, with facility members receiving free access.
The Bell Homestead National Historic Site offers guided tours for $2 per person on Family Day, with children under four admitted free. Tours run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., excluding 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Reservations can be made by calling 519-756-6220 or emailing bellhomestead@brantford.ca.
