An Extreme Cold Warning has been issued for the Brantford-Brant region. Residents are urged to take precautions to stay safe in the freezing conditions. Grand Erie Public Health, formerly known as the Brant County Health Unit, recommends the following measures:

Wear multiple layers of clothing, ensuring one is wind- and moisture-resistant.

Protect exposed skin to prevent frostbite.

Stay hydrated by drinking warm, non-caffeinated, and alcohol-free fluids.

Check on elderly and vulnerable individuals frequently to ensure their safety.
