Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers arrested two impaired drivers over the weekend in separate incidents, highlighting ongoing efforts to maintain road safety.

On Saturday, January 18, officers on traffic patrol in Paris stopped a 32-year-old driver, leading to an arrest for impaired driving. The following day, January 19, a 24-year-old driver was involved in a rollover collision on Highway 403. OPP officers responded to the scene and determined impairment was a factor.

Both individuals face penalties under Ontario’s Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) program, including a 90-day licence suspension and a 7-day vehicle impoundment.

Authorities remind the public that impaired driving is entirely preventable and encourage residents to report suspected impaired drivers by calling 9-1-1. The OPP emphasizes that every effort to report unsafe driving can help reduce risk and save lives.
