A 52-year-old resident of Brant County is facing multiple impaired driving charges following a late-night investigation by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
Authorities were dispatched to the small town of Paris shortly after midnight on Saturday in response to a report of erratic driving. According to the caller, the driver displayed behavior that raised immediate safety concerns.
Upon locating the suspect’s vehicle parked at a residence on Catherine Street, officers conducted an inquiry and subsequently arrested the individual.
The accused has been formally charged with two counts of impaired operation: one for driving under the influence and another for exceeding the legal blood alcohol concentration limit of 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 milliliters of blood.
